VideoScribe is a way to create unique and engaging videos in a scribing style very quickly and easily. It's a great tool for marketing videos, explaining concepts or delivering learning, you can also illustrate talks very powerfully using VideoScribe.
The interface on the iPad and Desktop is very similar and you can share projects between devices to allow you to work the same project on both environments offline and then synchronize.
However, the desktop version has additional features such as using your own hands and most importantly the ability to render at full HD output and different output formats, frame rates and the ability to remove all VideoScribe branding.
The render time on the desktop version is dramatically better than the iPad and new features are released immediately, where there is a lag with any new features being released to the iPad version.
On the iPad you can use gestures to manipulate the canvas, but generally the workflow and quality of scribe produced is a lot higher in the Desktop version.
Any output created with an active Sparkol Pro account can be resold commercially, projects created on the iPad can be used for your own organisation but not resold.
Although we are adding to the base library all the time remember you can create your own vector images, import bitmaps or search the web for SVG files. SVG is the native format used by VideoScribe.
We have also found that openclipart.org is a huge, searchable, open source library of SVG files, although quality can be variable, it's a great place to start.

Our pricing is based around a fair cost for one of the two products and covers product development, artwork and other assets such as music licensing as well as a high level of email support and all updates and upgrades.

If you purchased a Sparkol Pro account and have been creating scribes and then after a period of more than a couple of weeks decide you would like your money back, then we would have to consider your request on a case by case basis.

The seven day trial can be used once per user account and once per machine, so creating multiple accounts with different email addresses will not allow you to bypass the trial period.
The trial is intended to allow you to understand how VideoScribe works and not to create any commercial projects. During the trial you will need an internet connection when logging in, although you can work offline with a Pro account. Some features are also disabled during the trial.
